Analytic Geometry is an elective course for students who have a solid background in Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry. Ideally, this course would be taken prior to or concurrently with Calculus, and includes the following modules:
This course is designed for delivery by a small K-12 public school located in Eastern Pennsylvania. The mission of the district is "to provide an interactive educational environment that encourages students to acquire the skills, obtain the knowledge, and develop the attitudes necessary to become valued contributing members of society", and the district's vision is "learning to create the world of the future" (Kutztown Area School District, 2012). The district has had a long-standing partnership with Apple Computers and has offered its high school students a one-to-one laptop program since 2003. This program enables this small, rural high school of less than 500 students to deliver quality face-to-face, hybrid, and online instruction.
An introductory course survey will be used to assess student's prior knowledge, experience with online learning, and computer skills as well as give students the opportunity to learn a bit about the instructor. The survey provides a non-threatening environment for students to express their concerns about course content and delivery. Students will be greeted with an audio introduction, an additional element of personalization. The survey can also be accessed using the button link below.
